Encyclopedia of the Dead (2025)

is a lecture-performance inspired by the novella of the same name by Danilo Kiš. First performed in 2004 in the Jewish Community of Zagreb, it unfolded as an intimate act — witnessed by both audience members and living plants placed among them. Narrated by Sanja Mitrović, the piece explores the power of storytelling and the blurred line between fiction and reality. The performance becomes a channel through which voices, identities, and forgotten pasts are summoned and made momentarily present, embracing the simplicity of spoken word as a quiet yet radical gesture — resisting spectacle through its sobriety and modest presence.
